YIT SIG: How to Succeed in Graduate Recruitment

After a very successful first event for the year with the IBM Global CIO, Victorian Young IT committee is moving to its second event for the year. It's the Special Interest Group that discusses 'How to Succeed in Graduate Recruitment'.


Graduate fairs –the dos and don’ts and how to get the best from them

Internships – what they are and how to secure one

The role and importance of professional associations

What to expect and how to deal with employment assessments (such as on line application forms, IQ tests, personality tests, and assessment centres or group interviews

Networking for Graduates – at fairs, events and directly with companies

Round-table discussion on issues and an opportunity to access professional advice about graduate recruitment programs in Australia

*Please bring along details of any graduate campaigns/companies that you are interested in so this session can be personalised on the night to your needs.

This session will conclude with a 20 minute round-table discussion where participants can also learn informally from the facilitator and each other about graduate recruitment.
